KC Energy Project - Rules and Implementations

In 2014, Kansas City, Missouri was selected to participate in the City Energy Project (CEP), a national initiative of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) and the Institute for Market Transformation (IMT) to create healthier and more prosperous American cities by improving the energy efficiency of large buildings. In the two and a half years of its existence, the City Energy Project mobilized the major stakeholders involved with commercial buildings to focus on building efficiency, increased information and awareness of commercial building performance tools, promoted benchmarking as a primary strategy, and supported the development of effective energy efficiency policies and procedures in Kansas City, MO.

The intention of KC CEP and its partners has always been to create a permanent, local resource to help buildings in the metro area improve their energy efficiency. In that regard, KC CEP and City of Kansas City, MO staff partnered with Metropolitan Energy Center (MEC) to transition from a City-administered program to a metro-wide program administered by MEC. The expanded program, now the Clean Energy Resource Center, will launch on 2017 and will grow the market for commercial energy efficiency improvements in the region by providing commercial building owners, operators, managers and tenants with the market-facing tools, targeted materials, and individual support they need to achieve deep energy and cost savings in their owned and leased building space.

Please RSVP at www.kcashrae.org by Friday, December 2nd @ End of Day.

Fees are $25 for those who RSVP by deadline and $30.00 at the door.
